'14 Tour du Haut Moulin Haut-Medoc Rouge
Couldn't load pickup availability
The 10 hectare Left Bank vineyard is planted to 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. The vines are on average 25 years of age. The terroir is gravel, sand, and clay soils.
The vineyard is situated inland in the Haut Medoc appellation. This places the estate in the communes of Fort Medoc and Cussac, not too far from Chateau Beaumont, which is in the middle of both the St. Julien and Margaux appellations.
90 Points Wine Advocate (Neil Martin)
The 2014 Tour du Haut-Moulin has a delightful, perfumed and mineral-scented bouquet with touches of potpourri infusing the black cherry and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, impressive depth and freshness, a welcomed saline element washing ashore on the finish. This will need a couple of years to mellow -- but great potential. Drink 2018-2028. 90 points." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 10/16
