The first Balbas wine was made in the family's subway cellars.
It was the origin of an exciting history that was honored in
2015 with the creation of Ancestral. A wine that is only made
with grapes from exceptional vintages from Finca El Castillo.
And to remember it, it is bottled in a bottle similar to the one
used at the time and the engraving of the old label has been
recovered. The technique has been perfected, its maturation
has evolved, but the spirit,

Purple red with a bright medium-high hue.
Intense overripe black fruit, elegant vanilla and
certain nuances of dried fruit.
Fine sweet and enveloping tannins. Very subtle
presence of its aging in wood that makes it an
enveloping, meaty and elegant wine.

Very versatile wine, ideal for pairing with red meats, sausages,
smoked meats, stews, cheeses, stews or wild fish.
