100 points Ian D'Agata Wine Review: "Good full red-ruby. Very deep, brooding aromas of red and black cherry, cocoa, candied violet, earth tones, star anise, camphor and sandalwood. It’s less tannic than the Produttori’s 2021 Riserva Montefico in the mouth, but boasts terrific grip and suave tannins like no other 2021 Riserva wine in the lineup. Finishes long, clean and multilayered with flavours of chocolate, minerals and woodsy underbrush. Fantastic stuff, really. Readers should take note of the fact that the Produttori unfortunately lost a source of their Rabajà grapes, as one individual sold his vines to Roagna. So while the Produttori currently make their Riserva Rabajà wine from the grapes of six growers, starting in 2025 this will whittle down to only five growers. Drinking window: 2032-2042. (12/5/25)"

Readers will have to be patient with this brooding, sepia-toned Barbaresco. Dark fruit, graphite, new leather, licorice, scorched earth and gravel add to an impression of muscular gravitas.
