It was originally created by his great-grandfather Serge Renard. Serge planted the vines on the Monts Damnés, working everything by hand and \"treuil\", a kind of cable chain used to hoist supplies up a steep vineyard. Serge's son, Andre Renard-Fleuriet continued. He was followed by Sylvie Girard, his daughter and mother of Anthony and David, and she remains active with the harvest, as do their grandmother and great-grandmother. Harvest is achieved entirely by hand and fermentations are done with only neutral yeasts. In 2015 Anthony's brother David joined him in the domaine.
