The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de la Marechale 1er Cru has a perfumed nose with wild strawberry, light cassis and violet scents that are a little Vosne-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins, dark berry fruit laced with cola and black pepper, leading to a classically styled slightly austere finish that will benefit from another 12 months in bottle. [Neal Martin, 01/01/2026]

Transparent crimson. Some chestnut character on the nose and lovely smooth character on the palate. Very distinctive and, from experience, I know this never disappoints. A wine with a beginning, middle and end. (JR) [15/01/2025]
