Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne Rouge Les Grands Chaillots

This wine is a blend of grapes from the villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny. One plot in Nuits-Saint-Georges covers one hectare with vines planted between 1978 and 1986 while the two-hectare plots in Chambolle-Musigny were planted between 1954 and 1962.. There is 20% whole-bunch and no new oak among the 27 barrels. This combines the silk of Chambolle with the spice of Nuits, the blend giving a pleasing complexity for Bourgogne level. It is balanced, energetic and pure.
